02APR2019 - NEWS - Port authority of Rijeka in Croatia launches tender for new Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal

The port authority of Rijeka in Croatia has recently launched a tender for the concession of the new Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal. The new infrastructure will be built over two phases. “The first, already underway, involves the construction of a quay of 400 linear metres of docks, and the second phase is for an additional 280 linear metres. The new terminal, with a depth of at least 20 metres, will initially have an annual traffic capacity of over 600,000 teu, rising to 800,000 teu upon the completion of the second phase. Bids can be placed by May 3 and the signing of the concession contract is expected to take place in the last quarter of this year.
