02AUG2019 - NEWS - MIDDLE EAST: GREEN LIGHT FOR SALALAH REFINERY PROJECT

The Salalah Free Zone has signed a concession agreement worth $2.5 billion for the construction of the Salalah refinery project, which will have a production capacity of 150,000 barrels per day.The Omani government expects the refinery to become ‘one of the most important refineries in the Middle East’. It is also anticipated that the facility will create 600 job opportunities as well as providing business opportunities to vital sectors in the Sultanate.
