02FEB2018 - NEWS - New LNG bunkering facility construction initiated at Swedish Port of Gothenburg

To meet the 2020 suphur cap, Port of Gothenburg has initiated construction of a land based Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility. According to the representatives of the port this facility will start its operations in this year. Currently Skangas is providing LNG bunkering service via ship-to-ship bunkering and Swedegas has joined for expansion of their LNG option. This new LNG bunkering facility is aimed to provide effective and safe LNG bunkering at the said port. Port of Gothenburg is one of the largest port in the Nordic countries.
