03JAN2019 - NEWS - US based Maher Terminals places order with Kalmar for the supply of 26 new straddle carriers

US based Maher Terminals has recently placed an order with Kalmar for the supply of 26 new straddle carriers. The Kalmar diesel-electric carriers will be installed at Maher’s marine container terminal at the Port of New York and New Jersey, US, and are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of this year. The carriers will help Maher achieve its fleet renewal programme. The Maher terminal spans over an area of around 500 acres and has the capacity to handle around two million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of cargo.
