Canadian rail shipments of crude oil for export dipped in January, largely due to the economics of such shipments. In January, Canada shipped 10.09 million barrels (Mmbbl) of oil by rail, down 7.9% from December 2018’s record-high volume of 10.97 Mmbbl, said Canada’s National Energy Board, in a new report. That's only the third month in which Canada has topped 10 Mmbbl. It recorded 10.46 Mmbbl last October.
