05FEB2019 - NEWS - Mozambique LNG secures 13 years sales and purchase agreement for 1.5 Mtpa of LNG with CNOOC of China

Mozambique’s first planned onshore liquefaction project, Mozambique LNG, has recently secured a sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas from China’s CNOOC. The 13-year supply deal was announced by project operator Anadarko Petroleum. Together with other joint venture partners, the company is developing a two-train facility with a combined capacity of 12.88 Mtpa to support the development of the Golfinho/Atum offshore fields, in Offshore Area 1.
