05JAN2018 - NEWS - Brent Closer to $70 - WTI-BRENT Analysis Oct-Dec 17

Recently Brent crude price touched the highest mark ($68.07) closer to $70. During the Last three months of 2017 the oil prices rose due to extension of oil supply cuts by OPEC and other members. The rise in Oil Prices was also supported by the Fortis Oil and Gas pipeline outage. Lowest value of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude oil was $49.29 and $55.62 respectively on 04 Oct 2017. Highest value of both West Texas Intermediate WTI ($59.97) and Brent crude ($67.02) was on 26 Dec 2017. The average value of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was $55.33 where as the average value of Brent Crude was $61.46 at the end of last three months of 2017.
