BRIEF DESCRIPTION

• The position is overall responsible for supporting the Chartering team in :
• Managing the whole Chartering fleet (both APL & CNC operated) with focus mainly on the CNC Intra Asia ships
• Ensuring that all teams adhere to the Charter Party terms in their dealings on the ships  
• Liaising with the various functions within CNC & APL headoffice and global teams, Marseille headoffice and shipowners, shipbrokers to coordinate all postfixture operations functions of the chartered ships fleet
• Coordinate with the Vessel Accounting team on all financial matters (eg hire payments, offhire claims, accounts finalization) of the chartered ships fleet

 
Key Accountabilities

• To work closely mainly with CNC on their chartering needs, discussions with CMA CGM Chartering Marseille on ships charters and extensions.
• To obtain all pre-delivery ship’s information for liaison mainly with CNC team, eg timecharter description, certificates, plans / manuals, questionnaires
• To work with shipowners / shipbrokers for owners bank details and coordinate with Vessel Acccounting team in vendor setup for ship’s hire payments
• To work mainly with CNC and global teams on surveyor for Onhire Survey for ship’s delivery and Offhire Survey for ship’s eventual redelivery
• To handle daily email / telephone communications between shipowners / shipbrokers, Marseille headoffice and mainly CNC teams and vice versa
• To work with ship’s Captain, shipowners / shipbrokers and mainly CNC / global teams on stevedore damages caused by the Terminal stevedores
• To work with Hazmat / global teams and shipowners / shipbrokers on loading of dangerous / hazardous cargoes
• To monitor ship’s stoppages and work mainly with CNC / Vessel Accounting teams in offhire claims submission to shipowners / shipbrokers
• To work mainly with CNC team near to ship’s charter expiry on extension or redelivery processes.
• To work with Bunker and Vessel Accounting teams in bunker supply quantities and withholding hire payments for provision of redelivery bunkers and shipowners expenses when ships redelivery approaches
• All assignments as delegated by CMA CGM Chartering Marseille, CNC & APL

 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : Tertiary Diploma in relevant discipline
Experience :

• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Managerial position
• In-depth knowledge of ship operations, preferably in the container sector
• In-depth knowledge of postfixture chartering operations
• Knowledge of accounting
