06FEB2019 - NEWS - Yamal LNG facility of Russia ships ten million tons of LNG since the commencement of the project

Yamal LNG which is a joint venture liquefied natural gas production project in Sabetta, Russia has recently shipped 10 million tonnes of LNG since production began in December 2017. The 136th cargo offloaded onto the Arc7 ice-class tanker Vladimir Vize reached 10 million tons of LNG produced since the start-up of Train 1 in December 2017. Yamal LNG’s annual capacity stands at 16.5 million tonnes with plans to increase to 17.4 million tonnes. Vladimir Vize is one of several Arc7 ice-class tankers supporting the project. The 168,560 cbm ship was built by South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in October 2018.
