OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBER (m/f/d)

With immediate effect, we are looking for a highly motivated person to support our Commercial team. 
You will be joining an experienced team of 11 colleagues in South Germany/ Bavaria and be responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks of part of the fleet. Current total fleet consist of 18 bulk carriers ranging 27,000 to 76,000 DWAT. Other fleet management disciplines are in-house as well.
 
RESPONSIBILITES
 
Day-to-day operations of the ships including but not limited to: navigation, inspections, cargo operations, agency appointments, daily reporting, bunkering, laytime calculations, speed/consumption & performance monitoring, handling cargo documents, dealing with claims if any, etc.
Maintaining and ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed
Involvement in the analysis and monitoring of operational data to ensure potential problems are averted
Providing advice to vessels, fleet management and customers to ensure smooth and uneventful execution of voyages
Implement procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years’ experience in the dry bulk Handysize/Panamax sector as Operator preferably from ship owning side
Strong problem solving and analytical skills to analyze operational data 
Fluent English and excellent communication as well as strong negotiating skills
Ability to create and/or promote business
Willingness to travel 
Team player
