Roles & Responsibilities
The Oil Trading team trades global oil derivatives across the barrel from offices in London and Singapore. The team trade relative value spreads and arbitrage using OTC derivative and futures contracts in all the main oil trading hubs. The team also provides expertise and pricing for internal and external customers.  (eg airline hedging, bunker hedging, inter-company oil exposures)
The team is well established in London and is looking for someone that can replace the current senior oil trader and further build out the franchise.
Due to time difference between London and Singapore, and the relatively small size of the team, it’s important the individual is highly driven, disciplined and self-motivated.

Requirements

• Price and information discovery in Singapore oil market across the barrel
• Develop relations with Singapore oil market participants (counterparties, brokers, analysts, others)
• Provide oil trading team with in depth and timely knowledge on main market drivers from Asian perspective
• Develop trading ideas with particular focus on Asian products (arbs, regional margins, new products)
• Be a key part of the global oil trading team with regard to risk idea generation and prioritisation
• Trade and risk manage global oil book in Singapore time zone; ensure proper handover to London team
• Execute majority of Asia focussed trades across the barrel: Asian refinery margins, E/W arbs, Singapore product spreads and differentials.
