Two Post-Panamax containerships were damaged in a collision at Busan New Port, South Korea, on 02 March 2019. Safmarine Nokwanda, a 4,500 TEU vessel owned by A.P Moller-Maersk’s South African unit Safmarine, collided with Tianjin, a 10,070 TEU boxship chartered to Israeli shipping company ZIM. The Hong Kong-flagged Safmarine Nokwanda hit the Liberia-flagged Tianjin while berthing at the container terminal in Busan. The 2005-built Safmarine Nokwanda is currently on route to Nantong, China.
