Swedish engineering group Alfa Laval has recently entered into a contract with a Chinese shipping company for the maintenance of scrubbers on a total of 31 vessels. The scrubber upkeep agreement follows a contract from last year under which Alfa Laval was to deliver exhaust gas cleaning systems for the unidentified customer. Alfa Laval noted that the original order was for the PureSOx open-loop, hybrid-ready scrubber systems to be installed on what the company described as “some of the largest vessels in the world.”
