Kalyan Shipping Ltd., a Mauritius based dry bulk chartering company is looking for their Dubai office for a highly motivated dry bulk chartering manager.
 
We are a young and dynamic company with a focus on Handy/ Supramax chartering. Currently we operate a fleet of about 10 ships trading worldwide and looking to expand our cargo business.  The Ideal candidate (M/F) will have a minimum of 3 years chartering experience from tonnage or cargo side. Candidate should be ambitious, have strong negotiation skills and willing to take initiative and responsibility.

Brief Job description: 

• Candidates must have minimum 3 years of chartering experience as operator.
• Primary focus on cargo, through third party sources and in house, with a secondary focus on tonnage.
• Negotiate charter party terms for spot and long period vessels with charterers and owners
• Liaise with all parties involved in freight logistics and ensure smooth and efficient service
• Keep current and strictly implement procedures for executing fixtures / monitoring vessel performances / explain underlying variances / follow risk management policy
• Key accountabilities of this role include driving the development of product business globally by evaluating business propositions and recommending short & long term strategies to achieve sustainable profitable growth. 
• Having strong contacts for trading in Atlantic market will be an added advantage.
