08JAN2019 - NEWS - UK flagged bulk carrier refloated after grounding in Mississippi River

The Mississippi River has recently reopened to vessel traffic following the refloating of a UK-flagged bulk carrier which grounded near New Orleans on Friday. According to a report from the US Coast Guard, bulk carrier Anglo Alexandria ran aground in the Lower Mississippi River in the morning hours on Friday. There is no pollution or any injuries to any of the crew members as of now. The cause of this incident is under investigation.
