08MAR2019 - NEWS - Yang Ming launches final two 14,000 TEU containerships built by Imabari Shipbuilding

Yang Ming has recently christened the final two 14,000 TEU containerships in a five-vessel series built by Imabari Shipbuilding and chartered by Yang Ming. The two ships, YM Warranty and YM Wellspring, were named Tuesday during a ceremony at Imabari shipyard. YM Warranty and YM Wellspring are the fourth and fifth of the five 14,000 TEU Yang Ming chartered from Shoei Kisen Kaisha. They belong to the same type as YM Wellbeing (christened in September 2018), YM Wonderland and YM Wisdom which were delivered to Yang Ming recently. The ships are designed with a nominal capacity of 14,220 TEU and equipped with 1,000 reefer plugs. They have a LOA is 366.44 meters, a beam is 51.2 meters, and a summer draft is 15.524 meters. The vessel can cruise at a speed up to 23 knots.
