09APR2019 - NEWS - Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard of China inks agreement with DNV GL to joinly construct a new LNG carrier

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard of China has recently signed an agreement for a joint development project (JDP) with DNV GL for the construction of a new LNG carrier. Under the terms of the JDP, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard and DNV GL will combine expertise and experience in research and development, engineering, classification, and construction. Hudong-Zhonghua and DNV GL will develop a modern ultra-large LNG carrier, which would be capable of transporting enough LNG to provide gas for 4.7 million homes in Shanghai for a month.
