Windward is looking for a highly-driven Sales Director to join our Compliance team in New York & Singapore.

In recent months, the U.S. has introduced major new regulations relating to sanctions and seaborne trade. As a world leader in maritime risk analytics, Windward is experiencing tremendous growth and interest in our products. To capitalize on this demand, we’re looking to hire an experienced Sales Director with a deep understanding of maritime data and/or compliance, to expand our business in the region. 

In this role, you’ll be working with our Product, Marketing, and Business teams. You’ll need to engage, educate and develop compliance customers across the maritime ecosystem, including banking, trading, bunkering, ports and related shipping industries. 

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for business, a hunger for success and a desire to produce tangible results.

What you will do?

Develop customer portfolio in trade finance and the physical oil & gas market by identifying and targeting new opportunities and securing qualified leads to grow the business. 
Develop a strong relationship with customers, understanding their analytics needs and ensuring we fulfill them. 
Understand customers’ business models and risk management needs; find solutions to solve their problems using Windward technology. 
Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise and guidance where required - for customers and also internally.
Work collaboratively with other team members in our London, New York, Washington D.C. and Tel Aviv offices. Collaborate with different teams, including Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering and Product. Meet company targets and ensure customer retention.

Requirements:

quickly learn new technical capabilities and apply them to customer problems.
Ability to work in a growing and fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Self-starter, accountable for delivering results.
Experience of data sales - maritime data sales experience a big plus
Solid understanding of Salesforce CRM and proficiency in usual spreadsheet/presentation software.
