10OCT2018 - NEWS - Grand Sun passenger vessel caught fire off the coast of Louisiana on Monday

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people from an offshore crewboat that caught fire off the coast of Louisiana on Monday. The Coast Guard launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to assist. Watchstanders at the Eighth Coast Guard District in New Orleans received a report at 2:36 a.m. that the passenger vessel Grand Sun was on fire in the Chandeleur Sound near the Chandeleur Islands. The aircrew arrived on scene at 3:52 a.m. and recovered the four people from the boat and transported them to emergency medical services at Air Station New Orleans.
