11FEB2019 - NEWS - A general cargo vessel runs aground in the Bråviken bay, off Sweden

A cargo vessel was damaged after grounding in the Bråviken bay, off Sweden. The 3,900 dwt Listervik allided with rocky bottom west of Oxelösund. The open hatch singledecker suffered a hull breach, followed by water ingress. Listervik was escorted by Swedish Coast Guard ships to the Port of Oxelosund where it moored in the morning hours of February 8. No injuries to the ship’s crew members have been reported.
