Roles & Responsibilities

Core Purpose Of The Role

Minimise financial exposure and protect the interests of the company by efficiently handling and resolving Bunker Claims as well as assist with other technical aspects relating to bunkering.

Summary Of Responsibilities
To ensure fair and swift resolution of bunker claims. This would include investigating complaints, document quality failures and the validity of claims from a technical perspective as well as identifying solutions to resolve issues for customers, always bearing in mind the commercial relationships involved.
Supporting customers with technical advice on quality, quantity, fuel treatment and other claims which deliver added value to them.
Build and maintain relationships with service providers such as Laboratories, Surveyors and stakeholders within the scope of operations.
Monitor and measure service level delivery of all service providers recommending control measures and / or solutions.
Review and Re-approval of vendors based on performance, risk profile and supply chain security.
Site Attendance in Loss Control capacity as and when required in order to protect the company's interests, locking in trading margins and defending/preventing claims.
Aim to resolve ongoing claims by effectively liaising with operational and trading teams as and when required.
To perform any other pertinent duties when required. 

Requirements
Significant experience in a related role dealing with technical issues relating to bunker supply.
Previous experience in dealing with bunker disputes within a re-selling organisation.
High level of technical knowledge of bunker operations including BQS / BIS performance.
Good interpersonal skills – must be able to achieve cooperation from people.
Proficiency in Excel.
Very Strong organisational skills.
Attention to detail.
