11OCT2018 - NEWS - Port of Long Beach handled over 8 million TEUs in Fiscal Year

The Port of Long Beach closed out the 2018 fiscal year having handled over 8 million TEUs during the previous 12 months. The number represents the port’s highest yearly volume and a 10.7 percent increase over the previous fiscal year, which runs from October 1 to September 30. During September, the Port of Long Beach moved 701,204 TEUs, recording its second-busiest September in the port’s 107-year history. Total volume moved during the month was flat, with a slight decrease of 0.1 percent compared to September 2017.
