Job Description
The position offers the right candidate the opportunity to be an integral part of a fun and dynamic team, working for an inspiring global company. The purpose of the role is to coordinate and advance the company’s marketing activities and to support the sales teams across our 7 offices in line with corporate strategy and objectives. The successful candidate will be an experienced, proactive and results-driven Marketing Coordinator who can confidently promote the brand, meet deadlines, demonstrate value for money and effectively communicate key messages to internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing activities and materials according to budgets and the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
  • Design, produce and create content for online and print collateral, including; sales presentations, brochures, exhibition materials, press releases, adverts, newsletters, etc.
  • Arrange, promote and manage the company’s events.
  • Create and execute Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in line with company values.
  • Manage company website and social media platforms.
  • Increase online traffic using a broad range of suitable digital channels including email, social media and SEO.
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns.
  • Direct, and collaborate with, external design agencies and other third parties.
  • Act as the company’s brand guardian.
  • Handle the production, purchase and distribution of promotional items across all offices.
  • Manage the purchase, branding and distribution of corporate gifts.
  • Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks as and when required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in a similar role with direct responsibility for marketing within a professional business environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (2:1 and above) or similar professional qualification.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially minded with an extraordinary level of common sense and practical hands-on approach to solving problems.
  • Methodical and highly organised approach to work with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, impeccable written and spoken English.
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and work flexible hours in busy periods.
  • Proven experience of digital marketing.
  • Proven experience of organising and managing events.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of InDesign/Photoshop.
  • Advanced Microsoft packages, expert PowerPoint.
  • SEO and Analytics.
  • LinkedIn expert.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Events and/or Creative Agency.
  • Previous experience in the Shipping industry.

Personality

  • Confident, go-getting and self-motivated.
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Must be extremely pro-active, hands-on and organised.
  • Presentable and professional manner.
  • Natural communicator who easily builds professional and productive relationships.
  • Outgoing, open and social.
