12FEB2019 - NEWS - World’s largest LNG bunker vessel officially christened at the Hamburg Cruise Center Steinwerder

Hamburg-based Nauticor which is a unit of Linde has recently reported that the world’s largest LNG bunker vessel, the 7,500-cbm Kairos was officially christened at the Hamburg Cruise Center Steinwerder. The vessel began being constructed in 2016 and in February 2018. The vessel was delivered in October 2018, according to Nauticor. Specifically, the vessel's steel cutting occurred at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) in Ulsan, South Korea, from where the vessel was delivered. Concluding, the vessel began operations in December 2018 in Northwest Europe and at the end of January, it took part in a milestone for Klaipedos Nafta and Lithuania’s LNG import facility as it completed the 20th small-scale liquefied natural gas reloading operation.
