12MAR2019 - NEWS - Asia Offshore Drilling secures a three year contract extension from Saudi Aramco for a 2013 built jackup rig operating in Middle East

Asia Offshore Drilling has recently secured a three year contract extension from Saudi Aramco for 2013 built jackup rig AOD1. The extension is worth $80m and sees AOD I continue to operate in the Middle East through to June 2022. The rig has been on contract with Saudi Aramco since it was first delivered in 2013. Asia Offshore Drilling owns three jackup rigs and is a joint venture between Thailand’s Mermaid Maritime and John Fredriksen’s Seadrill.
