Reports to Bunker Operations Team Manager and in his absence to the Head of Global Marine Centre. Ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective Bunker supply for the vessels operate by Maersk.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all Maersk Line operated vessels have the adequate amount of bunkers including right bunker grade to safely and timely reach next bunkering port.
Drive Maersk line stock on board numbers to the optimal level ensuring capital cost tied up in bunkers is minimal while at the same time ensuring that top-ups are reduced/eliminated.
Closely liaise with chartering, deployment and GVPC team on redeliveries with respect to bunker quantity.
Support with subject matter expertise when specific bunker emissions assessments needs to be conducted such as new ECA zones.
Closely liaise with LOC operations to ensure a strong engagement as well as continuously be on the forefront with schedule disruptions impacting bunker consumption.
Ensure bunker saving initiatives are run in run in close coordination with relevant stakeholders in Maersk Line.
Maersk Oil Trading engagement:
Drive the operational engagement with MOT via standard regular meetings.
Provide feedback for developments in current tools and systems towards automation.
Innovation:
Support Bunker Optimisation End2End project on bunkers ensuring a smooth integration into day to day execution.
Team:
Ensure Bunker Operations 24/7 Desk is manned at all times basis agreed shift plan to provide superior professional support to ML owned and charter fleet.
Operating System:
Embrace, drive and innovate Maersk Line Operating System within own team as well as GVPC, Fleet Operations and Vessels.
Apply continuous improvement methodology at GVPC while reducing waste at the same time.
Engage with relevant departments in Fleet Management & Technology for issue resolution as well as further developing modus operandi.
Understand and develop the interface and engagement between GVPC, LOC and MOT supporting an End2End focus.
Support Bunker Operations Team Manager in delivering uninterrupted operations.
Communication:
Ensure strong, engaging and visible communication towards all relevant stakeholders in Maersk Line Operations.
Adhere with Maersk Line communications guidelines.
Who are we looking for candidates:
Captains or Chief Officers with rank experience of at least 1 to 3 years.
Individuals willing to work in shifts.
Posted strong marine knowledge, analytical and communications skills.
Expertise in use of on-board programs (MSPS, Ecovoyage, SPOS) is a prerequisite.
Broad understanding of Marine Operations / Ship Management related processes.
Good stakeholder management, creative thinking and persuasive mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
Previous shore experience would be an added advantage.
