POSITION 1: MARINE PURCHASER:
Responsibilities:
Overall in charge of purchasing activities of the Company, administration of purchasing orders for vessels according the Purchasing Procedures, best industry practices.
Collection of quotations as instructed by the Technical Superintendent / Technical Director as appropriate, according to the released supplier list.
Prior placing an order, negotiating of prices, delivery modes and delivery times via phone / email. Reviewing and evaluating prices and quality of supplies regularly and keeping records accordingly.
Updating of the purchasing database, ensuring that the Purchasing program / files is regularly updated especially at the end of each month with stocks of lubricating oil, lashing gear, paints, chemicals etc.
Follow-up of delivery progress and shipboard reception checks. Ensuring that items are purchased consolidated and supplied cost effectively, supervising that spare parts and stores are delivered on board timely and orderly.
Ensuring that vessels are always kept advised by the purchaser about the status of their deliveries, planning and organizing that vessels are supplied with stores on regular basis
Checking invoices, electronic filing of the documentation for completed purchases
Compliance with the company's management system and participation in its review and development
Responsible for victualling on contracted vessels.
Being aware of budget expenditure of the vessels, monitoring and controlling the expenditure in liaison with the designated Technical Superintendent and Technical Director.
Supervising preparation of Lube oil reports and required inventories for Quarterly Management Reports
Active involvement in negotiating new contracts with suppliers, sub-contractors.

Fluent English and Dutch
Computer user knowledge (Microsoft Office)

- Ship and engine parts basics
- Shipboard procedures basics (ranks/duties, operations, safety, security, pollution prevention).
POSITION 2: OPERATIONS:
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily vessels operations
Support pre fixture operations including:
Providing chartering dept. with vessel / port / itinerary information as requested.
Liaising with master on stowage plans / questionnaires / trading certificates for vessel's clearance.
Planning vessel's bunker requirements with master and negotiate / procure bunkers.
Coordinate with Chartering / Marine / Technical dept. to ensure vessel are able to meet all warranties stated in C/P.
Support post fixtures operations including:
Appointment of port agents and liaising on vessel's berthing, schedule and cargo readiness.
Appointment of all other related service providers in relation to the voyage requirements
Compute laytime, initiate demurrage claims and counter on demurrage disputes.
Monitor vessel daily movements and performance (speed and bunker consumption).
Maintaining of all voyage info/ records
Involvement in other operation matters relating including insurance and crewing matters.
