13NOV2018 - NEWS - Sweden based company HH Ferries starts operation of its two battery powered ferries

Sweden based shipping company HH Ferries has recently commenced operation of two of its battery powered ferries, Tycho Brahe and Aurora, on the Helsingborg-Helsingør route. The ferries are designed to operate on battery power in all weather conditions. Vessel batteries will be charged with ‘green electricity’ produced from non-fossil fuel sources such as wind, water and solar energy to completely eliminate emissions. Both ferries are expected to enable HH Ferries to reduce overall emissions by around 65%.
