JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities

• Main responsibility - assisting Head of Chartering in chartering vessels for edible oil trade.
• Good knowledge in Chartering activities, preferably edible oil shipment.
• Record keeping and data entry on fixtures concluded.
• Contribute with insights on freight market information, providing necessary support to the Company’s traders.
• Manage post-fixture follow up, in coordination with Operations Department.

Good knowledge on the following:

•     Handling cargo documentation, Bill of lading, LC matters.
•     Demurrage management, voyage orders,
•     Customs duty and clearance related issues,
•     Cargo Insurance issues,
•     Vessel stowage planning

Closely coordinate logistics matters with supply, receiving chain and vessel owners to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in logistics or Shipping related field.
• 4-6 years’ of chartering experience in edible oil industry is a must. (Candidates with Chemical trades as Owners/Charterers may be considered for the role)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build and nurture effective relationships internally and externally
• Analytical mind, strategic thinking and practical problem solving;
• Dedication and result oriented approach to work;
• Good attention to detail, organised, structured and logical;
• Strong team player who is able to work with limited supervision and lead the activities.
