Mobile Brigade Day is an Indonesian observance celebrated on November 14 every year. This professional holiday is dedicated to the special police operation force and paramilitary law enforcement responsible for counter-terrorism, police raids, riot control, bomb disposal in urban settings, search and rescue, etc.
The history of the Mobile Brigade Corps (BRIMOB) dates back to 1945, when a special police corps named Special Police Troops was formed to disarm the remnants of the Japanese Imperial Army and to protect the head of state and the capital. On November 14, 1946, the prime minister reorganized the Special Police Troops into the Mobile Brigade.
