15MAR2019 - NEWS - Wärtsilä gets permission to proceed for the construction of bioLNG plant in Asker, Norway

Wärtsilä has recently announced that it has been given notice to proceed for a liquid biogas plant to be built in Asker, Norway. The contract for the plant was awarded in April last year by Norwegian wastewater treatment and biogas producing company, VEAS. The notice to proceed was signed in the following December. The facility will consist of a biogas upgrading and liquefaction plant. When complete, it will allow VEAS to produce vehicle quality biogas. The facility will be incorporated with the company’s existing biogas plant, which is Norway’s largest sewage sludge treatment plant, serving close to 750 000 people. The bioLNG plant will have a production capacity of 20 tpd.
