Republic Day is a public holiday in Brazil, that annually falls on November 15. This day celebrates the anniversary of proclamation of the Brazilian Republic on November 15, 1889.
Brazil officially gained independence from Portugal on August 29, 1825. Prince Pedro I declared himself an emperor, resulting in establishment of the Empire of Brazil. He abdicated the throne in favor of his five-year-old son, who became Dom Pedro II. During his reign Brazil won three international wars, the slavery was abolished. Brazil suffered economic stagnation, that lasted for years. This led to a military coup, that overthrew Dom Pedro II on November 15, 1889.

Ivory Coast - National Peace Day
Citizens of Ivory Coast annually celebrate National Peace Day on November 15. This public holiday was instituted by the government in order to regain Côte d’Ivoire as a peaceful nation.
Ivory Coast declared independence from France on August 7, 1960. The first 20 years of independence saw a steady economical growth of the state. The distraught of the 1980s marked the beginning of the era of political instability.

Belgium - German Community Day
November 15 is German Community Day in Belgium. This is a public holiday only for the German-speaking community.
The German-speaking Community of Belgium is situated in the region of Wallonia and it's made up of two territories, consisting of nine municipalities. It's territory measures 853 sq km. The east part of the Community was annexed by Belgium in 1920 after the defeat of Germany in World War I and the subsequent Treaty of Versailles.

Kazakhstan - National Currency Day
National Currency Day is an official holiday in Kazakhstan. It's annually celebrated on November 15, that is anniversary of introduction of the tenge. This holiday is considered to be a professional day of the workers of the financial system of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan was one of the last post-Soviet countries, that stopped using the rubles and introduced its own currency. The work on design of the tenge started in 1991 and the first samples of the banknotes were approved by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in August 1992. A decree on introduction of the new currency was issued only on November 12, 1993 and the tenge started circulating on November 15, 1993.
