Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• In charge of all operations and procedures for a small/mid-size oil products trading office (front, middle and back office staff)
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), finance and HR policies, look after the ongoing acquisition of talent and manage the hiring and onboarding process for new employees
• Promote and manage the company’s business development for the Swiss office; perform regular staff meetings to evaluate the individual and company performance and set targets/goals
• Manage the review, approval and execution process of commercial contracts and control/ensure the accurate and timely documentation for trades and that all activities are compliant with Swiss and international law as well as internal policies (liaise with the legal manager); manage and oversee legal and tax related activities
• Reports into the CEO

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Similar experience as an administration manager, officer manager or chief operating officer (COO) with a previous/current background in oil products trading, sales, business development or operations
• Knowledge of international trade procedures and principles for light and/or middle distillates (LPG, gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, jet fuel, diesel) as well as strong understanding of managing finance, HR, legal and taxation related activities for a trading office
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills, strong motivator with a commercial mind-set and able to work late hours when required
• Swiss citizenship or Swiss B/C work permit
• Located in Zurich or in the area (e.g. Baden, Cham, Lucerne, Zug) or happy to relocate within Switzerland
