Dan-Bunkering is one of the leading companies in the bunker trading industry with worldwide representation, specializing in sale, purchase and supply of marine fuel oil on global scale. We are looking for a Senior Sourcer who is passionate about strategic purchasing and sourcing of marine oil and who is keen to participate in the further development of the procurement function.

Job purpose and role
As a Senior Sourcer for Dan-Bunkering you will play a key role in driving our business forward in terms of revenue and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will join the current brand sourcing center and help strengthen the team to work even more pro-actively to secure long-term cooperation with Dan-Bunkering’s suppliers. You will manage strategic purchasing of marine fuels and your main objective will be to bring purchasing to the next level by ensuring that product quality, capacity and price all come together. More specifically your responsibilities include:

• Back to back purchasing from physical market
• Trading derivatives/hedging techniques
• Accountable for providing a best in class procurement
• Proactive identification of scalable opportunities to improve the cost prices
• Negotiations and conclusion of supplier agreements and terms
• Conducting supplier relationship management
• Involvement in several development projects across the organization
• Ongoing analyzes of price developments and calculation of the total cost of purchase prices’ impact on the gross margin
• Stakeholder management and claims handling

Job specific skills and personal competencies
The ideal candidate has minimum 5 years of documented purchase experience and a commercial approach to procurement, ideally gained in an international organization within the oil and gas industry. You have strong analytical skills and a deep technical insight combined with commercial skills. You have proven understanding of procurement methodologies and best practice. Management experience is an advantage but not a requirement. Furthermore, you are an experienced user of the Microsoft Office-package and have demonstrable “hands on” problem solving abilities in multi-cultural and dynamic environments. Finally, you can analyze market and price development. 
As a person you have great social skills, are highly results driven, structured and a proactive individual who is comfortable operating at all levels to solve issues. You have excellent negotiation and influencing skills. In addition, you are a self-starter who operates effectively with minimum supervision and a positive attitude.
