APM Terminals Poti and Poti New Terminals Consortium have recently submitted a conceptual design to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, seeking permission to start construction of the first phase of expansion at Poti Sea Port. The design involves the construction, development and operation of a new breakwater, as well as a 700m quay wall at 14.5m water depth for dry bulk, containerised and general cargo facilities. A number of modern equipment such as ship-to-shore cranes will be installed at the port.
