The company.
Faststream are working exclusively with a leading shipping company to recruit for a Chartering Manager to join their expanding team in London. 

The role. 
You will come from a chartering background with experience of the dry cargo industry from a reputable owner, operator or broking house. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Negotiating and booking of cargoes and contracts 
• Knowledge of fixing vessels on both voyage and time charter. 
• Making commercial decisions and negotiations. 
• Experience with Supramax dry bulk vessels trading in the Atlantic. 

This position will involve travel and business development in order to build customer relationships, which are vital for developing and running a strong desk. 

The person
This is an opportunity for a highly driven, goal orientated individual with a proven track record in chartering, to work autonomously. Coming with a cargo book is not essential; however you should have the ability and contacts to build a freight book. 

You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
