18JUN2018 - NEWS - Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore to take actions againts suppliers not conforming bunker specifications

Singapore which is one of the largest bunkering port globally has seen a number of off specification issues such as low flash point and high catfines in last few months. Due to this the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has steped up its enforcement inspections so as to provide bunker quality assurance. MPA will provide bunker quality assurance through SS524 (Singapore Standard Specification for Quality Management for Bunker Supply Chain) and TR48 (Technical Reference for Bunker Mass Flow Metering).
