Ukraine - Advocacy Day 
All Ukrainian barristers have a reason to eagerly wait for December 19, since this day marks their professional day. Advocacy Day was established by President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma in 2002. The date was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of entering into effect of the 1992 law On Advocacy.
Advocacy Day was established in Ukraine to highlight the important role that the Ukrainian barristers play in the development of the jural society, protection of the rights and freedoms of all citizens. This professional day also emphasizes the important role of the institute of the advocacy in Ukraine.
