19FEB2019 - NEWS - Ecochlor secures BWMS retrofit contract from US based Alaskan Tanker Company for installtion on three crude carriers

Ecochlor has recently secured the ballast water management system (BWMS) retrofit contract for US based Alaskan Tanker Company’s (ATC) three very large crude carriers (VLCC). Under the contract terms, ATC will retrofit the Ecochlor BWMS on-board its fleet of three VLCCs. The contract also includes an option for one additional vessel. The Ecochlor BWMS can be installed in both US Flag and International vessels in hazardous areas through their US Coast Guard-type approval certification. Set to begin this year, installations will continue through 2021 at the Sembawang Shipyard located in Singapore.
