19FEB2019 - NEWS - South Korea based ship building company DSME secures contract for the construction of a LNG carrier from Greece based Maran Gas Maritime

South Korea based ship building company Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has recently secured an order for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier from Greece based shipowner. DSME is to build the 174,000 cbm ship for Maran Gas Maritime, part of Angelicoussis Shipping Group. The newbuilding is expected to be delivered to its owner by the first half of 2021. In 2018, Maran Gas ordered three identical LNG vessels at DSME, with two of them scheduled for delivery in 2020 and one in 2021.
