JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Shipping Manager, this position will be based in Singapore. Supervise and monitor technical/hull issues of the fleet. Prepare the job scopes of repairs and assist in clarifications to the contractors. Supervise contractors’ repair/maintenance of vessels. Prepare and supervise the execution of dry docking repairs. Perform ad-hoc technical analysis on vessels’ performance or other topics related to the Shipping Department. Coordinate mass flow meter tests on board when required. Occasional spot checks of the cargo on board. Periodically reviews the Standard Operating Procedures on board and proposes best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Engineering (preferred Mechanical/Marine Engineering). At least 5 years of experience in a technical role. Technical understanding of vessels’ engines and main machinery. Any experience related to oil tankers or sea-going work experience as a Chief Engineer is a plus. Good level of initiative and independency. Hands-on and flexible profile. Multi-tasking and ability to meet the deadlines. Availability to go on board our vessels occasionally (within Singapore port limits).
