20DEC2018 - NEWS - TMS Cardiff Gas inks deal with Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries for the construction of four LNG carriers

TMS Cardiff Gas has recently signed contracts with Korean shipbuilders Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the construction of four additional 174,000 cubic meter LNG carriers. The ships, featuring XDF propulsion, bring the company’s X Carrier Series of orders to eleven ships. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2020/2021, when they will enter into time charter contracts with Shell. The company’s fleet of managed vessels has grown to sixteen.
