The Indonesian government Monday signed three new contracts to operate oil and gas blocks. The combined signature bonus is $6 million and all three will employ a gross split plan. The three blocks are South Sakakemang, Maratua and South Andaman, assigned to a consortium led by Repsol, state energy firm PT Pertamina and Mubadala Petroleum, respectively. Mubadala already operates other South Amandan blocks, located off -shore Aceh Province. The basin has not yet been explored, but is expected to account for domestic consumption in North Sumatra and long-term export to regional markets.
