20NOV2018 - NEWS - Cosco Shipping inks ship building contracts with Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry for the construction of nine pulp carriers

Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers, the multi-purpose shipping unit of China Cosco Shipping, has recently signed shipbuilding contracts with Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry for the construction of up to nine 62,000 dwt pulp carriers. The latest contract, which includes firm orders for five vessels and options for another four vessels, is part of Cosco’s strategy to expand its pulp carrier fleet to serve its COA contracts. Deliveries of the vessels will start from 2020.
