21JAN2019 - NEWS - Tallink Grupp inks new scientific agreement with TalTech for developing smart ship solutions

Tallink Grupp has recently signed a new scientific agreement with TalTech to develop a number of innovative solutions for its current fleet of 14 vessels. As part of the deal, both companies will work together to develop ‘Smart Car Deck’ solutions over the next two years. Smart Car Deck solutions will be based on the existing Smart Port solutions and are expected to make the ships’ car decks and their operations more efficient. The companies also expect the new solutions to decrease the number of workforce required for loading and unloading of ships, as well as the waiting time for embarking and disembarking the ships.
