Germany is working on a law to support the construction of LNG terminals. The planned reform would oblige gas network operators to connect LNG terminals to the German gas grid. The cost of connections would be defrayed via grid levies on gas consumers’ energy bills, effectively reducing investment risks for investors in such terminals.
