21MAY2018 - NEWS - Oil prices rose by more than 40 cents on Monday

On Monday oil prices rose as the market reacted to the news that China and the United States have put alooming trade war between the world’s two biggest economies “on hold”. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up  by around 41 cents and the Brent crude futures were up by around 52 cents from their previous settlement values. Both WTI crude and Brent crude serves as benchmark for oil pricing worldwide.
