21OCT2019 - NEWS - Total’s first LNG bunker vessel to operate in 2020

France’s Total said Friday it has launched its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker vessel to supply the cleaner fuel to commercial vessels in northern Europe.

The 135-meter long vessel is being built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding near Shanghai and will be delivered in 2020. The vessel will supply 300,000 tonnes per year of LNG to French container shipping company CMA CGM’s nine ultra-large newbuild containerships, for at least 10 years.
