22JUN2018 - NEWS - Oil prices rose by around one percent on Friday on uncertainty over possible rise in OPEC output

Oil price rose by around 1 percent in early Asian trading on Friday. The rise in oil prices was supported by the uncertainty over whether OPEC would manage to agree a production increase at a meeting in Vienna. The Brent crude futures were up by around 74 cents from their previous close where as US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up by around 65 cents from their previous settlement values.
