22MAR2019 - NEWS - Danish shipping line Maersk inks shipbuilding contracts with CSSC’s Jiangnan Shipyard for the construction of ten containerships

Danish shipping line Maersk has recently inked shipbuilding contracts for the construction of up to ten 2,200 teu containerships at CSSC’s Jiangnan Shipyard. The contract includes a firm order for five ships and options for another five ships. The vessels, which will be classified by CCS, are ordered through a financial leasing arrangement with ICBC Leasing. Maersk will deploy the ships in the Asia market upon delivery in 2020 and 2021.
